How do I find an article?
Whatever your topic or research question is look at this FAQ to find news, scholarly or academic articles
Answer
Use BTC Library online databases to find free articles. Databases are collections of resources on specific subjects (e.g. Health Sciences) or resource type (e.g. eBooks).
- Choose one of the journal article databases on the A to Z list. To pick which database to search in, review the database descriptions to find the best fit for your topic. If you're not sure which database to choose, select one marked 'Good Starting Point' databases. These have articles related to many different fields/subjects.
- Click on the database title/link
- Search using your topic keywords (read more about keywords here)
- Use the database filters to refine the list of results by source type (e.g. Magazine, News Article etc.), check your assignment requirements to see if you need a certain type. See more about database filters here.
You may need to try multiple different searches to find relevant sources
