How do I borrow a WiFi Hotspot?
Answer
The library has WiFi Hotspots (small devices that generate a WiFi network) are available to borrow for free for students without internet access at home. There are limited number of devices.
- You must be enrolled in the current BTC semester and have no blocks on your student records
- You must present your government issued photo ID (driver's license, state ID) to borrow loaner equipment
- Sign the loan agreement which includes information on late fees and equipment policies.
- Return the device in the original box on or before the due date at the end of the semester
Setting Up Your WiFi Device
- Instructions will be included in the box for each device
- For most of the WiFi hotspots, the password to the WiFi network will be displayed on a screen on the device, some select hotspots, a password card will be included in the box
