What is plagiarism?

Answer

Plagiarism is presenting words, ideas, or images created by someone else as your own. Plagiarism is harmful, it ignores the effort of authors and their contributions. Plagiarism is included in the BTC Student Code of Conduct, a set of standards expected of students who choose to enroll at the College. To avoid plagiarism, cite your sources. This gives credit to how other's have informed your work and allows readers to trace ideas back to their original source.
