To find an opinion piece written in a newspaper or other publication where the article is clearly written and labeled as opinion or commentary (for example, something from the Opinion sections of the New York Times, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe), use the US Newsstream database to search hundreds of newspapers at once.

How to search in US Newstream for opinion articles step-by-step:
- Once you are logged into US Newsstream select the Advanced Search
- Enter a search term in the first line, use the keywords for the topic you want to read an opinion article about
- Use the Publication date to find more recent opinion articles
- Under 'Source Type' select "Newspaper"
- Under 'Document Type' select "Editorial"
- Hit Search
- Select a news article from the search result list to read/download the full-text or if you can hit "Modify Search" to change your keywords for different results
