What are the library fines for late, lost and/or damaged equipment?

Answer

Late Equipment

Equipment returned late and/or damaged are subject to fines and penalties if you have not returned equipment within 4 days of the return date and have not renewed your loan following that semester's instructions sent to your BTC email:

  • A hold will be placed on your student account that will prevent release of transcripts, graduation, and registration. The hold will only be reversed only when loaned equipment is returned
  • You will be charged a late fine of $5.00 a day from the due date
  • You will be charged with a replacement fee for the loaned equipment
  • Equipment not returned within 30 days will be referred to a collections agency

Missing Accessories

Your account will be charged for any missing or damaged equipment accessories (chargers, cases). Check "What is included" to make sure you return all items that were included in the loan.

  • Wired mouse with HP Laptops - $5

  • WiFi Hotspot charger (charging cord and/or power block) - $5
