How do I borrow a laptop?

Answer

Laptops are available at the Library Desk in the Student Success Center (room 2200, Central Campus). Only currently enrolled BTC students without library fines or fees and no blocks on their Blackhawk records can borrow equipment. Students who have previously returned equipment 10+ days late and/or damaged may not be allowed to borrow equipment again. Government issued photo identification is required to check out a laptop. Borrowing laptops from the library is easy:

  1. Bring your government issued photo ID (drivers license or state ID) to the pick-up location (if it is a campus other than Central, wait to be notified that it has been delivered)
  2. Sign-into the laptop using your Blackhawk username and ID.
  3. Read and sign the loan agreement which includes information on late fees and equipment policies.
  4. Take-home equipment, make sure to return items on time to avoid late fees and student account holds.

Laptops can also be delivered to other campus locations: Center for Transportation Studies, Central, Milton, Monroe when shuttles are running during Fall and Spring semesters
