How do I borrow a laptop?
Answer
Laptops are available at the Library Help Desk in the Student Success Center (Room 2200, Central Building on the Beloit-Janesville Campus). Only BTC students enrolled in the current semester, without library fines or fees and no blocks on their Blackhawk records can borrow equipment. Students who have previously returned equipment 10+ days late and/or damaged may not be allowed to borrow equipment again. Government issued photo identification is required to check out a laptop. Borrowing laptops from the library is easy:
- Bring your government issued photo ID (drivers license or state ID) to the pick-up location (if it is a campus other than Central, wait to be notified that it has been delivered)
- Sign-into the laptop using your Blackhawk username and ID.
- Read and sign the loan agreement which includes information on late fees and equipment policies.
- Take-home equipment, make sure to return items by your due date to avoid late fees and account holds
Laptops can also be delivered to the Monroe campus location when shuttles are running during Fall and Spring semesters
