Answer
Yes! Interlibrary loan (ILL) is a service that allows students, staff and faculty to borrow items such as books, movies, music, articles and other physical items from multiple other libraries. This service expands the resources available to you to almost unlimited numbers.
- Search for library materials in the BTC Library Search.
- If we don't have what you are looking for, expand your search to Wisconsin Libraries
- Click on the title of the item you would like to request to go to the items record
- Click on "Request it from other library" this will open a request form
- If you are signed into your Library account, it will automatically fill out the form
- Review the information
- If everything looks correct, click on "Submit Request" at the bottom
Please allow for at least 2 weeks to process requests and receive items. Not all requests can be filled.
- Library staff will send you you confirmation and pick-up information to your Blackhawk email address.
- Items will be borrowed through your BTC Library account, you will need a photo ID to borrow items.
- The lending library will determine the due date, typically 3 weeks or longer with a possibility to renew the loan.
If you cannot find a resource, or have questions, fill out the ILL form or email the library@blackhawk.edu
