How do I take a test in Blackboard Ultra?
Answer
Open the test and review all the information such as the due date, instructions, maximum points and time limit. Before you begin the test, make sure that you have a strong internet connection. Don't refresh the page, close the window, or use the browser's back button while you take a test, you may loose any answered questions or be kicked out of the test.
STARTING A TEST
If you are ready to take the test there are different ways you will start:
- A No Time Limit Test: Select 'View Assessment' to begin. You will be able to save this type of test, close it and re-open it to continue
- A Time Limited Test: the time limit will be on the Details & Information panel, next to the test on the course content page and within the test, as you work. You'll click on 'Start attempt' instead of 'View assessment' in this type of test
There are many different types of questions in Blackboard Ultra including matching, multiple answer, fill in the blank, essay types questions. Review your instructors instructions and grading rubric to prepare for the types of questions that will be on the test.
If you had previously started the test, you will see how many questions you have remaining at the top. You can use the Questions Filter menu at the bottom of the page to help you with common test taking strategies by filtering the type of questions you want to answer first.
